Lady Cats triumph over Watterson, fall to Coffman

North Union’s softball program went 1-1 in two day span on the diamond last week.
The Lady Cats claimed a victory over Watterson, 2-0, and suffered a loss to Dublin Coffman, 6-0, a day later.
Lady Cats surpass Bishop Watterson
North Union extended its winning streak to five games last Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Bishop Watterson in non-league softball action at North Union.
The Ladycats (5-1) single runs in the first and fifth innings.
Kennedy Harrah and Kale Keigley each doubled while Brenna Martino had two singles and Emma McElroy and Kailin McElroy each had a single.
Martino pitched the shutout, allowing seven hits, striking out two and walking one.
Lady Cats fall to Dublin Coffman
North Union followed up last Tuesday’s home game with a road loss to the Lady Shamrocks halting its five game winning streak last Wednesday.
Coffman claimed the win 6-0 after it was all said and done.
The Lady Cats recorded four hits in total by Keigley (2), Rylee Fox and K. McElroy. Fox and Keigley also recorded doubles.
Inside the circle for North Union was Martino who pitched a complete game with one strikeout and one walk. She also allowed six runs on 11 opposing hits.
