Local flu hospitalizations reach 36 for the year

As of Feb. 13, 36 influenza- associated hospitalizations have been confirmed among Union County residents, with 11 additional under investigation.

Of these confirmed influenza- associated hospitalizations, five occurred in December, 27 in January, and four in February.

All 11 reports under investigation occurred in February. The age range for confirmed influenza- associated hospitalizations is 34 year to 90 years old, with the average age being 68 years old.
