Wildcats stage comeback conference win against Shawnee, fall short to Kipp Academy in overtime
The highest point total on the scoreboard belonged to North Union for most of its basketball game against Shawnee last Friday at North Union.
Midway through the fourth quarter Shawnee staged a rally and moved to within four points of the Wildcats.
But North Union was able to claim the comeback and completed a 49-35 Central Buckeye Conference victory.
“We come into games with a main goal of playing defense,” sophomore guard Nickolas Hajjar said. “When times get tough you revert back to the defense.”
The Wildcats led 33-24 heading into the fourth quarter.
