Sheriff’s Office honors employees

The Union County Sheriff’s Office recently held its annual awards banquet at the Avalon Theatre to recognize the accomplishments of their employees for the calendar year of 2024.

The awards were nominated and voted on by the employees’ peers. The awards presented to the employees ranged from years of service to individual accomplishments such as the Civilian of the Year and Deputy of the Year.

Employee of the year awards are evaluated on the individual’s personnel file, performance files, work habits, attitude, appearance, professionalism, performance evaluations, dependability, community involvement, support for the UCSO Vision, Mission and Core Values and ability to perf…
