Plain City is considering a concept plan for a new development in the village. Apartments, commercial sites proposed along U.S. 42 in P.C.

Plain City Council heard the first concept plan for a proposed development that could bring some apartment units and commercial spaces into the village.

Dwight McCabe, with the McCabe Companies, presented the plan for what is known as the Ballantyne property on U.S. 42 at a recent council meeting after initially going through the planning commission.

McCabe, whose company was also behind the Hamlet on Darby development on the southeast side of town, said after years of discussion around how this property should be used or how it might fit into the village’s comprehensive plan, this plan offers an answer.
