Council yanks approval of pickleball bids

Richwood officials are rescinding their motion to accept a prospective bidder for the pickleball courts at the park due to an anomaly in the bid tabulation form.

At the regular meeting of village council on Monday, Village Administrator Monte Asher read a letter from Access Engineering, who reviewed the five total bids received on Oct. 17 for council.

“It is our recommendation that the village accepts Goodwin Services, LLC as the low bidder and enters into a contract for the bid amount of $182,631,” the letter stated. Goodwin Services, LLC, of Marysville, has previously done work on Leon’s Garage and Sunbelt Rentals in Marysville. The highest bidder for the pickleball courts was $264,000.
