North Union runners qualify for Regional cross country meet

North Union’s Kennedy Ludwig and Lauren Hall qualified for the regional cross country following Division III district competition on Saturday at Hilliard Darby.
Competing in Section 1, Ludwig finished in fifth place with a time of 20 minutes, 19.58 seconds while Hall was 11th with a time of 20:42.32.
Individual runners that finished in the top 12 qualified for the regional meet at Pickerington North on Oct. 26.
The Lady Cats finished one spot from qualifying as a team as they finished fifth overall with 111 points, 10 markers behind fourth-place Columbus Academy.
The top four teams advanced to the regional meet.
Others running for North Union were Kailin McElroy (14th, 20:59.57), Savannah Amstutz (47th, 24:54.51), Allana Smith (48th, 25:10.56) and Josie Held (56th, 26:58.07).
The boys team finished in ninth place with 240 points while competing in the Division II, Section 1 race.
Leading the Wildcats was Felix Plouck, who was 25th in the time of 17:54.34. He was followed by Mack Marlette (56th, 20:20.33), Jack Hoover (57th, 20:31.82), Drew Chadwell (58th, 21:10.57), Wyatt Roby (62nd, 23:36.58) and Philip Ardrey (63rd, 24:42.33).
