Lady Cats claim CBC Mad River cross country title

North Union claimed a girls Central Buckeye Conference Mad River title last Saturday at Graham.

The Lady Cats finished with 111 points with Benjamin Logan in second with 148 points.

North Union had three runners in the top 13 and each were named to first team in the Mad River.

Kennedy Ludwig was eighth in the time of 20 minutes, 20.3 seconds while Kailin McElroy was 10th (20:45.6) and Lauren Hall was 13th at 21:15.2.

Savannah Amstutz, who was honorable mention, finished 40th with a time of 23:27.8 and she was followed by Josie Held (51st, 24:40.5) and Allana Smith (52nd, 24:55.3).

Felix Plouck earned first-team recognition in the boys meet by virtue of his 16th-place finish in the time of 17:56.3.

The Wildcats finished sixth with 293 points. Graham was the Mad River champion with 166 points.

Also running for North Union were Max Leavitt (65, 20:19.1), Jack Hoover (75, 20:46.3), Drew Chadwell (89, 21:30.6), Colton Smith (91, 21:43.7), Philip Ardrey (101, 23:35.7) and Wyatt Roby (103, 24:15.3).
