Wildcats bounce back with road win over Springfield Shawnee, 6-0

North Union opened its Central Buckeye Conference league schedule with a 6-0 win over Springfield Shawnee at Shawnee.
The Wildcats are now 2-4 overall while Shawnee drops to 1-5.
Rain that was sometimes heavy and wind hampered both teams.
The game was delayed by 30 minutes and neither team was allowed on the field until 7 p.m., which was the original start time.
“It was the quickest warmup we’ve ever had,” NU Head Coach Nick Hajjar said.
The lone score came in the second quarter as NU’s Nick VanHoose broke free for a 26-yard touchdown run.
