North Union takes down Northwestern in five-sets

North Union’s volleyball program defeated Northwestern on the road during a five-set battle last Saturday.

The Lady Cats improved to 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the Central Buckeye Conference folowing the match (26-24, 23-25, 25-17, 21-25, 19-17).

Junior Lexi Wills led the team in kills with 15 colloed by sophomore Katelyn Zimmerman and freshman Glory Blevins tying for 11 apiece.

Blevins recorded a team-high three kills followed by Wills with two.

Senior Kennedy Harrah notched 44 of the team’s 48 assists.

Junior Emma McElroy led the team in digs with 22 followed by Blevins with 17 and Harrah with 15.

The Lady Cats will be back on the road Thursday taking on Springfield Shawnee.
