Local pastor returns to Richwood

By By Kyle Meddles, Richwood Gazette

A local pastor has returned to Richwood to serve the community.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jacob Heyward was recently hired as the Family Life and Youth Pastor at Fulton Creek Evangelical Friends Church, which marks his return to Richwood after being away for five years in Urbana. Heyward went to Fulton Creek Church as a kid and attended North Union Schools.

“I grew up in Richwood at Fulton Creek and was surrounded by a great, loving community of church people,” Heyward said.

He said he struggled with physical and mental issues that caused him to grapple with his connection to the faith, as many kids often experience when growing up around the faith community while trying to pave their own way.
