NUMS program offers mental health services for students

The bryt program at North Union Middle School aims to bring resources for student mental health.

At the regular meeting of the board on Monday, Halle DuMoulin-Camella, Project AWARE District Program Coordinator with the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County, gave a presentation on the bryt program.

According to SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the federal government, “the purpose of Project AWARE is to develop a sustainable infrastructure for schoolbased mental health programs and services.”

Project AWARE is grant funded, and DuMoulin- Camella said that the bryt program has no financial responsibility to the families as the Project AWARE grant “is …
