North Union gridiron team outlasts visiting Zane Trace Pioneers, 14-8
The final seconds made things a little nervous for the North Union football team last Friday night during its non-league game against Chillicothe Zane Trace.
But when those last few seconds finally did end, the Wildcats picked up their first win of the season.
Sparked by two long drives from the offense and a defense that battled all night long, the Wildcats defeated the Pioneers 14-8 on their home turf.
“That was a big win for us,” head coach Nick Hajjar said, walking off the field as a misty rain came down.
