NU students praised for robotics progress

With the second week of the 2024-25 school year underway, North Union officials took note of the progress they have made in their engineering course, including offering industry credentials.

At the first board of education meeting of this academic year, Jesse Miller, who teaches the engineering course, gave a presentation to the board and guests on where they are at entering the school year.

“ W e ’ r e actually up to 80 students. We’ve had five come on board since we started the school year. Our ultimate goal is to get up to 100 (students) again,” Miller said. He said that six to seven years ago the engineering program only had 10 to 15 students, so “it’s a really big deal.”
