Union County Fair comes to a successful close

Officials are calling the recently completed 178th Union County Fair a success and already looking forward to next year’s event.

“The fair ended up going really well,” said Michelle Kuhlwein, with the Union County Fair Board. “Our attendance was good and the community was really happy.”

She said it is difficult to get an accurate attendance count but believes the fair had more than 25,000 visitors over the six days.

“The rides were busy. The vendors were busy. The midway was busy. In general, people we really happy,” Kuhlwein said.
