Hope Center assistance program hits million-dollar milestone

By Richwood Gazette staff reports

From Gazette staff reports

The Hope Center Emergency Assistance program has reached a milestone.

Since 2012, the program provided more than $1 million of financial assistance to residents in need.

“These funds are above and beyond budgeted monies,” the Hope Center said in a release. “The Emergency assistance Program is supported by Compassion Partners made up of our local churches, businesses, and individuals who have a desire to assist families in their community who come up against a challenging time.

These funds have kept families in homes, have assisted with utility and fuel costs, school fees, prescriptions, car insurance and many other emergency situations. We strive to fill in the gap in services.”

The Hope Center is encouraging residents to get involved, noting if they “would like to find out more about the Emergency Assistance Program or are interested in becoming part of the Compassion Partners residents can email Director of Compassion Ministries Lorie Spain at emergencyassitance@hopecenterohio.org.”
