North Union track and field hosts 57th annual Virg Rankin Invitational

Cold and windy conditions made it difficult at times for the athletes to compete last Friday in the 57th Virg Rankin Invitational at North Union.
“Spring in Ohio is never easy when it comes to the weather,” North Union head track coach Cole Krawczyk said. “Sometimes we experience every season within our two-hour practice window.”
But the weather did not bother Big Walnut that much as the Eagles earned a double victory in the 17-team meet.
They totaled 157.5 points in the boys meet, leading second-place Springfield Shawnee by 51.5 points, and 147 points in the girls meet with Jonathan Alder finishing second with 112 points.
