January 24: Because of a conflict with dates of nearby fairs, the dates of the Richwood fair, recently announced in this paper, have been changed. The dates as revised are July 29, 30, 31, August 1. Urbana and Marion both had set dates the same as the original dates selected by Richwood. This arrangement would have been disastrous to all three, hence the change by the local association.

January 24: D. D. Mather, of Columbus, who for years was a resident of Richwood was here the latter part of the week. Mr. Mather underwent an operation last year and his strength has been somewhat impaired. He is recovering well, and at the age of 81, four weeks ago, walked 15 miles in four hours.
