North Union hoopsters topple Northwestern at home; come up short against Kenton Ridge on the road
There was a lot of offensive production on Friday as North Union battled Northwestern in the Central Buckeye Conference boys hoop action at North Union.
When the dust had settled, it was the Wildcats who prevailed with a 77-68 victory.
North Union Head Coach Ryan Grose was pleased with his team’s offense, but not how the Wildcats played on defense.
“We were able to knock down some shots,” Grose said. “But we need to figure out a way to set the tone and start out a little better.”
North Union led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter.
The Wildcats exploded for 30 points in the second quarter for a 44-31 halftime edge.
