After deciding that the cost of installing an electric fire alarm was higher than the village could afford the village council received a proposal form J. H. Sanders which represented quite a cut in price over the figures previously submitted. After adjourned meeting last week council decided to buy the equipment offered by a Rochester, New York firm and a contract was given to Mr. Sanders for installing the necessary wring. Mr. Sanders has already begun work and much of the wiring is already done. The siren, which can be heard a distance of two miles under favorable conditions, will be placed on the Richards building, over the rooms occupied by the Richwood Telephone Company.
