So far the well being drilled on the Grindell farm by the Community Oil and Gas Company has shown no indication of producing either oil or gas. Last week the West Mansfield company which is doing the drilling reached the depth specified in their contract, 800 feet in Trenton rock, or a total depth of 1798 feet. Directors of the local company last week decided to drill an additional 150 feet, bringing the depth in Trenton rock to 500 feet, or a total depth of 1998 feet. Samples of the different structures from the well were taken to Columbus and were analyzed by geologists at Ohio State University.
