Sheriff’s Office stops small vehicle inspections

The Union County Sheriff’s Office has stopped all utility vehicle and mini-truck inspections.

The sheriff made the announcement that the inspections would be suspended “immediately.”

“With the current inspection challenges and the pending legislation at the Ohio Statehouse, I feel it is best to suspend these inspections at this time,” Union County Sheriff Jamie Patton said.

With a sheriff’s office inspection, golf cart, utility vehicle and mini truck owners of these can get a license plate.
