Opera House Committee to continue work with new guidance

Richwood Council decided to allow the Opera House Committee to continue working, but not before giving some stipulations to the group.

At the regular village meeting on Monday, members of the committee gathered for the recommendation presentation to council, which they hoped would have ended in a positive, decisive vote.

That recommendation was for the committee to continue operating as it has been, searching for grant money, making repairs and beginning the fundraising portion of the project.

While council ultimately voted to approve continuing the work, some members were reluctant and had suggestions and questions about moving forward….
