NU sisters heading to national shooting competition

A pair of North Union sisters will be competing at the national level as shooters in the National High School Finals Rodeo next week.

Lily and Sophie Brinkerhoff will join more than 1,700 contestants from 44 states, five Canadian Provinces, Australia, Mexico and New Zealand, for the NHSFR, the world’s largest rodeo in Wyoming, July 16-22.

The sisters earned spots in the Light Rifle competition, which only sees four winners from each rodeo event for each state. They qualified to move forward and compete at the national rodeo with two other Ohio students.
